About the Holiday Mini Challenge
Complete 10 activities from either division option to complete this fun mini challenge and receive a Holiday Mini Challenge Rosette Ribbon! This challenge is meant to help motivate you, stay focused, and stay accountable during the Holidays as you work towards your own equestrian goals and dreams! Stay accountable by recording the activities and time you spend with your horse and by joining our awesome social media community sites to share your progress! Entrants will receive a beautiful Rosette Ribbon! Cost to participate - $40.00.
Equestrians may choose their challenge from the options below:
HOLIDAY MINI CHALLENGE:
Division Option #1- No Saddle December: Complete 10 bareback rides (ride your horse without your saddle) from December 1st through January 31st.
OR
Division Option #2- Versatility: Complete 10 activities with your horse in one or more of the following disciplines: riding, driving, or groundwork sessions (such as tricks, showmanship, liberty work, and long lining) from December 1st through January 31st.
RING IN THE NEW YEAR MINI CHALLENGE:
Ring in the New Year Challenge: We encourage you to celebrate the New Year and ride, drive, or do groundwork with your horse on New Year's Day or New Year's Eve! Have a barn party! Complete 10 activities with your horse in one or more of the following disciplines: riding, driving, or groundwork sessions (such as tricks, showmanship, liberty work, and long lining) from December 1st through January 31st.

The Rules
Unlike many other equestrian incentive riding programs, Equisarte Show's challenges are open to ALL breeds and riding styles!
Q: What counts? A: Riding, driving, and groundwork count towards this challenge!
Q: What doesn't count? A: Chores.
Q: How much time should I spend? A: That's up to you! We suggest spending at least 30 minutes or more per activity session, however each equestrian should decide what is the best amount of time per activity for themself and their horse!
Q: How many activities can I count per day? A: You can count up to 2 activities per horse per day, for example: an AM and PM ride/drive/groundwork.
Q: How many horses can I use? A: Use one or multiple horses to complete the challenge. If you want an ornament for each horse you will have to register separately for each one.
Q: Do I need to submit a photo or video for each ride? A: Our challenges are on the honor system. We do encourage photo or video posts on our Facebook Group!

Do not participant in this challenge until speaking with your trainer to determine if it's right for you and your horse. Do not ride your horse if it is unfit or otherwise would be inappropriate to do so. Use common sense, if something doesn’t seem right with you or your horse, if your horse seems a bit fresh, or if the weather or footing is unsafe wait to ride or work with your horse until another day.
If you are unable to ride use this time to try doing groundwork- it can be an excellent way to get some exercise, bond, and have fun together! Here are some suggested activities to try:
Exhibitors participate at their own risk, understanding the potential risks associated with all animals and equine activities. By entering, each participant who engages in an animal/equine activity expressly assumes the risks of engaging in and legal responsibility for injury, death, loss, or damage to person(s) or property resulting from the risk of animal/equine activities. By entering exhibitors agree to release and hold harmless Equisarte Shows, LLC its employees, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability(ies). Products and prizes may vary. As the cost of shipping outside the US is very expensive this challenge is open to US residents. If a non US resident is interested in this challenge please email us and we will look into the cost of shipping to your county plus the entry fee. Entrant's photos, name, age, city, state, may be used to promote the art show. This includes, but is not limited to, outreach via social media and websites. Limited Spots Available- ornament design guaranteed until sold out. New design may need to be used for additional participants only who want to join and our challenge upon selling out. Refund Policy- No refunds are allowed.

- Showmanship patterns
- Long lining (ground driving)

- Teaching tricks like "smile"

- Stay Warm, save time on tacking up- it's getting dark so early, and have fun with your horse of course if you are riding bareback doing our No Saddle December Option!
- Maintain your strength and your horses' strength
- Set and accomplish goals

- Improve communication with your horse

- Make new friends as you share your journey

This challenge isn’t meant to be a race. You must wait to submit your log until December 14th. Additional prizes may be added.
